It works great as a back up device in a traditional two rope system.
I use it for climbing flag poles as the length of the rope can be easily adjusted both ways as the pole tapers. (I use 1/2" - 13mm rope and it fits fine in the device). (Posted on 14/09/2019)

surely this must be the new Petzl Shunt, its work better as a a backup, its cheaper and its lightweight.. I always use the safety duck to attach as a back up to my safety harness (Posted on 6/10/2015)
