DREAMWORLD has been issued three prohibition notices by Workplace Health and Safety QLD (WHSQ) inspectors over its Buzzsaw ride, relating to safety harnesses and staff access.
WHSQ issued the notices relating to “maintenance safety harness anchor points” on the BuzzSaw, ordering the company to undertake additional certification.

A 27-year-old German woman has died after falling 13 storeys at a Perth construction site on Monday afternoon. The woman fell at the 38-storey Finbar development on Adelaide Terrace at East Perth WA.
Worksafe said the woman had fallen down a ventilation shaft, from the 15th floor to the 2nd.

On Tuesday 13th September 2016, the ARAA Board of Directors passed a motion to change current pre-requisites for ARAA level 2 and 3 assessments.
The minimum requirement to have a current First Aid Certification before a candidate can sit a level 2 or 3 assessment has been repealed.
This change is EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATE as of 15 September 2016.
