Man trapped in silo successfully rescued by first rescue responders

At about 6 p.m. last Saturday, first responders were dispatched for a confined space rescue in Walker Township, US.
According to dispatch, the man was trapped in a silo, 50 feet from the ground.

A husband, wife and brother were found dead inside a water tank on a rural NSW property. They were killed yesterday after entering a tank that had filled up with poisonous fumes on their property in Gunning, around 60km north of Canberra.

The construction industry is the most dangerous for ladder use, with falls from ladders being the most common causes of fall-related injuries and fatalities, according to data in a 2013 Safe Work Australia (SWA) 2013 falls from height report.
When a fatality occurs, head injuries are the most common cause of death, with 76 per cent of the 112 workers who died from a fall from a height in the four years 2008–11 doing so because of a head injury.
